For years Briseida lived with a physically abusive father.
One day her mother decided it was time to seek refuge and fled to Briseidas grandparents. Her grandparents did not have the means to provide for Briseida and her siblings but decided to get them away from the abusive home anyway.
In Gods sovereignty, their grandmother heard about a local church that was offering a feeding program. That program was Charlie's Lunch.
Briseida and her siblings now eat Charlie's Lunch 3 times a week and hear about Jesus. The whole family has become active in the church. Her mother actually is now a volunteer at the lunchroom and gets to take home extra when she helps serve the kids. We are thankful to be a part of a healthier and more peaceful life for Briseida and her siblings.
