Dear Partners of Charlie’s Lunch,

What an incredible year 2003 has been for Charlie’s Lunch Ministries!

Through your generous support and financial contributions this past year, Charlie’s Lunch has served over 150,000 meals, added 7 new feeding centers feeding approximately 1,000 children on a regular basis, helped in construction with 4 different churches and feeding centers, provided medical care to over 2,500 individuals, hosted 3 short-term missions teams, provided donated vehicles to 2 pastors and shared the love of God with thousands on foreign soil. Sam Stewart shared the message of “missions” in 38 different churches and prayed with hundreds on foreign and American soil. At our Christmas outreaches, Charlie’s Lunch distributed 1500 toys to our Charlie’s Lunch kids, their siblings and friends, distributed 2,300 meals, provided gifts for 250 cooks and workers, and shared the Christmas message of Jesus Christ our savior with over 4,000 people. What a wonderful Christmas it was!

As we look forward in 2004, we will be focusing on expansion in Mexico, India and Central America. This month in India, we have begun feeding 100 children in a poor, “rice” village of Kakinada in addition to the Charlie’s Lunch Children’s Home in Gogonnamattam, India. Our desire is to establish 5 new feeding centers in India this year, reaching out to abandoned kids at a railroad station in Bijayawada, in the slums of Hyderabad and in two “nomadic” villages in Warda where the poverty is extreme and life-threatening. It is the only hope for these Hindu children to come to know the ONE true God who loves them and considers them important enough to give His Son for them. At Christmastime, we added a second feeding center in Juarez, Mexico and because of the need our desire is to add a third in this northern part of Mexico. Requests for a Charlie’s Lunch feeding center are constant and numerous. The need before us is enormous; however our mission and passion are great to make a difference.

We give God all the glory for the way He’s using Charlie’s Lunch to change lives. God’s plan for ALL the world is clear. John 3:16 says, “God so loved the whole world, that He gave His only begotten Son that WHOSOEVER believes in Him would not perish but have eternal life.” Through your partnership, Charlie’s Lunch is going to the “whosoevers” around the world and thus fulfilling the great commission of Matthew 28:18 & 19; “Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every nation…”

Thank you for partnering with Charlie’s Lunch in 2003. We do ask for your continued support so that we can “Do more in 2004.” Together, we are God’s loving hands extended to a hungry, hurting dying world.

Reaching out to the hungry in body, soul and spirit,

Sam and Janey Stewart
