Dear partners and friends,
Christmas has come and gone for us, oh so quickly! But as we begin the new year, the towns and communities amongst some of the poorest are buzzing, lit up, glowing, a thick air of joy spread around by your generous donations to spread the light of Christ Jesus, the savior, Emmanuel, God with us, to those who otherwise might surely have been left alone, in the dark and without hope. Festive celebrations are still taking place in some towns in Honduras, and in El Salvador and in Visakhapatnam India who not until the 16 and 17th of January will shine the light of God's gift brightly to these communities.
Glowing reports tell of the glory of God from the effort, unbelievers, doubters, muslims, hindus and hungry seekers of God have flocked to where the Charlie's Christmas is being or was shared and have seen with their eyes and touched with their hands and felt with their hearts the one and only true love of God. In 31 feeding centers in 7 nations within the Charlie's lunch family of local churches over 5,000 have been touched and impacted. On behalf of Charlie's Lunch Ministries and all our staff and leaders of 300 and registered children of 2,000, we say a HEARTFELT THANK YOU for letting God use you and your family, church, business to make possible Charlie's Christmas of 2009. Surely God has been lifted high through your generous gift.
To our strong partners who without naming know who they are and to the great partnership with Alicia, Jim and Beth of Initialoutfitters (INITIALOUTFITTERS.COM) in Auburn Alabama, and other wonderful friends and the donors who gave $10 or $15 or $1 towards this Christmas event, may God bless you and multiply the fruit which will surely be harvested through your seed giving, sacrificial offering and generous donations.
